Holistic Healing
What to expect from a treatment
The Haven my peaceful healing space in Kilbrittain, Co. Cork.
Holistic healing means working to heal the whole person by treating body, mind and spirit. By treating the person as a whole rather than focusing solely on the presenting problem it is often possible to reach the cause of the problem rather than just the resulting pain or disease.
I always work holistically, in all of my healing sessions and each client is treated as an individual with the session tailored to meet their needs. My work involves the use of energy, vibration and the clearing of problems on an energetic level, to bring about healing on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level.
Often clients know at the time of booking which particular therapy they are looking for, but if not, during the initial consultation I can assist my clients in deciding on the therapy that will help them most for their specific problem.
So how do you choose a therapy?
This very much depends on how you are feeling, whether the problem is a physical one or not, whether you want to have a hands on treatment e.g Reiki, or Chios, or whether you would prefer to take something e.g. Flower Essences. There is no 'one-size-fits-all' where healing is concerned and it is always important to find the therapy that feels right for you at the time.
I am always happy to give advice at the time of booking or to talk options through with you at your appointment.
I have found, through experience, that sometimes the most effective treatments involve a combination of therapies and as I also work intuitively, I may bring in additional techniques as they are needed during a treatment, if my client is happy with this.
I work with a number of complementary energy therapies and so if one approach isn't working or something more is needed it is always easy to adjust a treatment.
Do I have to be ill or injured to benefit from a treatment?
Not at all. Holistic therapies are excellent for keeping you healthy. They can reduce stress, bring relaxation and improve your overall sense of wellbeing. By helping to maintain your health you can help prevent illness and disease.
Your first appointment
At your first appointment you will be asked to complete a short confidential Client Form. I will then discuss with you what you would like to get out of the session and how I can help you.
All Client Forms, Consultations and any information given is always treated with the highest confidentiality.
How long is an appointment?
This often depends on the treatment chosen as some therapies take longer than others, the treatment time for individual therapies is given on the page relating to each therapy. Some of the time is always used for consultation.
Usually treatments are 60-90 minutes or 90-120 minutes including consultation.
Some clients prefer to book a 120 minute session to allow for deeper work to be carried out.
How many sessions will I need?
One session of any therapy will bring benefit on some level although naturally a course of treatments will bring even more. Some problems require more treatment than others, the longer something has been a problem or the more complex a problem is then often the longer it can take to heal although this is not always the case.
With the exception of 5 Element Healing where four sessions are required, I never tie clients into a course of treatments preferring to allow my clients to make the decision for themselves according to how they feel.
Munay-Ki
One of the Munay-Ki rites may be offered to you as part of a healing session if it feels that it would be of benefit to you. You do, as always have the choice whether to receive it or not.
