My name is Yvonne Ryves and I am based in Kilbrittain, Nr Bandon, Co. Cork, Ireland where I work as a holistic healer and trainer.                        

I first became interested in healing many years ago after reading an article about Reiki and how it could be used for self healing. Like many people though, it took me some time before I managed to take part in a Reiki 1 course but having done so I can honestly say that it completely changed by life.

After completing my Reiki 1 course, I went on to take Reiki 2 before becoming a Reiki Master in 2005. 

Since then I have continued my professional development by qualifying as an Australian Bush Flower Essence Advanced Practitioner, Chios Energy Healing Master Teacher, Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner, Practitioner of EmoTrance, in Past Life Regression and Hypnotherapy (ADPLT), in Holistic Massage (ITEC) and in Shamanic Healing. 

I also have a Teaching Certificate and over 30 years teaching experience, B.A. and M.Sc Degrees in Education and a Certificate in Counselling.

Over the years I have become more aware of my shamanic path, a path that connects me to the abundance of support that is available when I connect with the wisdom of all that is available to me. Shamanism is very important for me and shamanic healing a growing part of my work. As well as offering healing I also occasionally birth shamanic drums.

By combining my shamanic experience with my experience as a  therapist and trainer involved in self development I have been able to write 'Web of Life' which is due to be published in March 2013. Although this is a stand alone book I know from experience that some people enjoy having some support especially when getting started so Web of Life will eventually form the basis of some small group workshops and an online/distance learning course. 

Having a range of therapies allows me to provide exactly what my clients need without them having to visit a series of therapists. Being able to be flexible when treating clients can make a healing session more effective. Clients also appreciate not having to find and then establish a relationship with a new therapist every time their needs change.
